How Does Reverb Keep The Vocal Clear?
Separate the source from the tail
Up to 220 ms of pre-delay keeps the dry vocal in front, and ducking pulls the reverb down while the singer is singing, then lets it bloom in the gaps.
Shape the return
LOW CUT: Clear mud out of the reverb.
HIGH CUT: Soften the top of the tail.
HI DECAY: How long the highs ring out.
BASS MULT: The length of the low-frequency tail.
Make It Fit The Session
Add movement with modulation and adjustable diffusion, set the stereo width, and run it either way: 230 factory presets are 100% wet for a send or aux, or turn Mix down and use it as an insert.
