FAQ
Do I have to use Access to get my plugins?
It's the easiest way — it installs and activates everything for you. Your license key still arrives by email if you'd rather set things up by hand.
Where does it install my plugins?
Your own plug-in folders. On macOS that's ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components — no admin rights needed. On Windows it's C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. AAX is the exception and goes in the system-wide Avid folder. You can open any of them from Preferences inside the app.
Can I use my plugins on more than one computer?
Yes. Install Access on the other machine and sign in with the same email — everything you own is there too. Your computers are listed under Preferences → Your devices.
I got a new computer. What do I do?
Open Access, go to Preferences → Your devices and remove the old machine, then sign in on the new one. You can do this from any computer you're signed in on — the old one doesn't need to be working.
Do you support Pro Tools?
Yes — AAX plugins are available for Pro Tools on both Mac and Windows. Use Wav Monopoly Access to install your plugins. AAX uses the system-wide Avid plug-in folder, so installation may require administrator permission.
Do I need to be online to use Access?
Only to sign in, install and update. Once a plugin is installed it works offline — your projects keep loading whether or not Access is running.
Is there a Windows version?
Yes — Access runs on Windows 10 and 11, and the download button above is live. Windows supports VST3 and AAX versions of your plugins; Audio Units are a macOS format and won't appear.
